Compassion Art

I found this on my friend Mandie's blog and want to help her spread the word for such an awesome cause!! I think that this is SO cool. Basically, a bunch of christian song writers got together and decided that they wanted to make a difference. A difference in the world. They got together and wrote songs for a purpose: To give every cent that is ever made from those songs to 4 different organizations in hopes that they would make a difference- Hand Of Hope, Stop The Traffik, Ray Of Hope, and Watoto. CompassionArt has a platform to touch these people. People who are dying everyday from hunger, AIDS, lack of clean water- you name it. Young children are being sold into sexual slavery and their lives are being ruined, tormented, destroyed. Children are orphaned everyday and see no hope ahead for their own lives. Children who are never named, because their parents know that they most likely won't live long. It's not only for children, though. This is about every person out there who is without hope. Every person who is living in poverty and does not have the means to pull themselves and their families out. My goal is to help Mandie spread awareness of this project

Be sure to check out Compassion Art!

Look how beautiful it is!!!

Ok, now that I look at these, it really doesn't look that pretty, but it will!!! As soon as the snow covers all of the ugly brown from fall!!! And actually it looks so much better in person!

Have a great week!!!

Honoring Our Veterans!

We say “thank you” when a store clerk hands us
change. We wave “thank you” when a motorist yields
us the right of way. We thank our friends when they
pay us compliments. If you think about it, we probably
use the words “thank you” or some variation of it at
least a dozen times a day. But how do you thank
someone for saving the world?
When you ask young men and women to endure
great hardships, drastically change their lifestyles and
possibly give their lives for you – the words “thank
you,” seem woefully insufficient.
Simply put, we owe them a debt that can never
be re-paid!
